Fall is just getting started, and that makes this the perfect time to think about winterizing your Jaguar XE or Jaguar F-PACE at Jaguar Peabody. If you’re a lifelong New Englander, you already know what fall and winter bring. If you’re new to the area, we can clue you in. It’s rough out there, for both you and your car. Make sure you’re ready.

Let’s start with a few simple things you can do to prepare. Make sure your car is stocked with the essentials for the cold weather, and do it before the mercury drops. That means putting the items you’re prone to forgetting — like umbrellas, hats, and gloves — in the car. It also means digging the scraper and collapsible shovel out of storage in case you need to dig out at an inopportune time, and keeping some kitty litter (preferably clay based and not grain-based) on hand for traction.

There are a few other things best left to the professionals at your Jaguar service center. The right tires and wipers are vital. The former are more durable and give you better traction, while the latter are better designed to handle the leaf-covered wet roads and salt, ice, and other grime that accumulates in snowy weather.

Don’t neglect the other essential systems. We’ll check your brakes, heater, battery, fluids, belts, and hoses to make sure they’re up to the colder conditions. While we’re doing our work, you can browse for accessories, and we’ll be happy to order anything you may need that’s not currently in stock.

Why do we bring this up in October? Winters in New England are great for skiing, and they’re a photographer’s dream. Break down in the cold and you’re dealing with every driver’s worst nightmare. A little prevention goes a long way, so schedule an appointment at Jaguar Peabody today. We’re located at 247 Newbury Street.
