The auto show season is drawing to a close, with the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show being the industry’s last big hurrah before Santa hopefully leaves a Jaguar F-TYPE in your driveway. This year’s edition was a mixed bag from the world of Jaguar cars. There wasn’t much here that was truly new, but there were fresh takes on some familiar faces. Jaguar Peabody looks at the highlights.

Jaguar E-PACE

We’ve seen the 2018 Jaguar E-PACE before (and covered it in this space). The LA Auto Show marks the debut of the production model. The long-awaited partner to the Jaguar F-PACE arrives at our Jaguar dealership early in 2018.

Jaguar XF Sportbrake

Whatever you do, don’t call the upcoming Jaguar XF Sportbrake a “station wagon.” There’s a passing similarity, of course, but when you’ve got a car this powerful and well-proportioned, it seems nigh insulting to lump it in among old-fashioned family haulers. In contrast, this one hauls… well, you know.

Jaguar I-PACE

Like the other models listed above, we’ve seen this one as well. The repeat appearance is welcome, however; after all, it’s a reminder that there’ll soon be a troika of Jaguar SUVs available. The Jaguar I-PACE comes with a twist, in the form of its hybrid powertrain that promises thrilling performance, and great fuel economy to boot.

Jaguar XJR575

The Jaguar XJR575 isn’t exactly a secret — Car and Driver, among others, has been keeping the public informed about this new Jaguar model for some time — but for most people, LA will be the first chance to see this car in the flesh. With a supercharged 575 horsepower engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, lighter weight and eye-catching aerodynamics, this is going to be a car worth waiting for.

Each of these cars is still some time away from Jaguar Peabody, but you’ll see them here and on the roads around Newton, MA sooner than you think. Visit us at 247 Newbury St. today to find out more or to test drive a new Jaguar vehicle!
