The 2022 Jaguar F-TYPE is a sports car that shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, now that we have had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of this exciting model here at Jaguar Peabody, our dealers are thrilled that the automaker included a long list of new features. The sports coupe and convertible were already stylish, powerful, and filled with the latest technology, and this new model year ups the ante. Here is what has changed.
New Powertrain
One of the most noticeable changes on the new 2022 Jaguar F-TYPE is the simplification of the lineup. Now it only includes V8 engines, while the previous version had both a turbocharged four-cylinder and supercharged V6.
This change is all for the better, as the new base model, known as the P450, is now powered by a massive supercharged V8 engine, which cranks out 444 horsepower. Drivers can still upgrade to the F-TYPE R model, which is loaded with a 575-horsepower version of that engine.
The automaker states that both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models of the vehicle will be able to reach 60 seconds in just 4.4 seconds with a 177 mile-per-hour top speed.
New Look
Whether you choose the coupe or convertible version of the Jaguar F-TYPE, it’s beautiful from every angle.
Both body types feature LED headlights with signature DRL as well as LED taillights that wrap around to the wheel arches, emphasizing the car’s muscular stance.
The spacious cabin also has a new look. The front performance seats in the F-TYPE are up to 12-way adjustable and come with optional heating or cooling. Finally, available Premium Cabin Lighting provides an additional touch of personalization.
