With all the news lately surrounding the Jaguar XE and Jaguar F-TYPE, we didn’t want another key release to slip by unnoticed. The 2018 Jaguar XF is now in stock — albeit in limited quantities — at Jaguar Peabody, giving our customers yet another great new Jaguar model.
What’s new for the Jaguar XF this year? Quite a bit, it turns out. For starters, there’s a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine available to the base trim. There’s also a hands-free power trunk, a new 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, and some newly available safety technology. The latter includes front and rear parking sensors and a new Driver Assistance Pack that piles on driver assistance technology.
Our favorite new development has been in the works for quite a while now. In fact, we reported on it in this space around this time last year. It’s the 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake. It takes advantage of the 3.0 L 380 horsepower supercharged V6 found in the Jaguar XF Sedan for a 5.3 second zero-to-sixty time. All-wheel drive is standard, and the cargo space (31.7-69.7 cubic feet, depending on seating configuration) pushes well into SUV territory.
That leaves Andover, MA luxury car shoppers with an enviable dilemma. On top of four engine choices, a wide color palette, multiple trim levels, and a plethora of great technology, you’ll now have two body choices in one great new Jaguar car.
