The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE hasn’t even made its way to the Jaguar of Peabody showroom yet, but drivers are already abuzz over it. They aren’t the only ones. To all indications, it already appears to be on pace (if you’ll pardon the pun) to be a bestseller for Jaguar. A few very lucky drivers have had the chance to test-drive the Jaguar F-PACE ahead of its official release and to say they’re impressed would be an understatement.

With all-wheel drive, a 340 horsepower engine, and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE can handle nearly anything the road throws at you. The vehicle’s construction relies mostly on aluminum (some steel is used to provide better weight distribution). It’s inherited much of its platform from the Jaguar XE, and its suspension is based off the Jaguar F-TYPE, giving it remarkably sprightly handling. It’s practical, with 33.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the seats. Finally, this is a true five-seater. Many crossovers claim to seat five, but those five people end up feeling more than a little cramped. That isn’t the case with the F-PACE.

There’s an added bonus. The Jaguar F-PACE wasn’t purpose-built as an off-road vehicle. That’s not a shortcoming, so much as an acknowledgement that most people use SUVs and crossovers as on-road vehicles. However, it’s confident and agile on rough surfaces, and has proven to perform better than expected far from the beaten path, meaning that you can get a heavy dose of fun with the practicality of a crossover.

If you’re interested in the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE, visit the Jaguar of Peabody showroom. We’ll be happy to walk you through specifications, options, and the pre-ordering process, as well as discussing trade-in and financing options. We don’t suggest waiting too long, however; demand is already high, and may well end up outstripping supply. Hesitate and you may have to wait some time before you can take delivery. If you’re more of a traditionalist, consider the 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE.
