After months of speculation and anticipation, the wait is finally over. This week, Jaguar finally pulled the wraps off the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace SUV. The F-Pace, you’ll recall, represents the company’s first foray into the increasingly crowded luxury SUV segment. Visitors to the Los Angeles Auto Show were finally able to see the F-Pace in all its glory, and the initial feedback is enthusiastic.

How does the F-Pace manage to stand out in a crowded field? While most SUVs rely on the familiar boxy design we’ve all seen on the road, Jaguar has designed this SUV to reflect the long history and heritage that’s come with Jaguar cars for over 80 years. A supercharged V6 (which reportedly puts out 340 hp) ensures that the F-Pace puts as much emphasis on a thrilling drive as it does on good looks.

Now that the Jaguar F-Pace is “official,” the rumor mill has started up again. Many in the automotive press have wondered aloud whether there might soon be a Jaguar E-Pace that could serve as a hybrid option for the new Jaguar SUV. For its part, Jaguar is keeping mum about its plans, only hinting with a bit of a nod and a wink that there are many exciting things in the works, some of which will be announced around the time that the F-Pace makes its first appearance in showrooms. We can’t wait to see what they have in store.

But we’ll have to be patient for a little while longer, since the F-Pace won’t be here until the late spring of 2016. If you’ve been missing all that Jaguar has to offer, why not meet the Jaguar of Peabody staff in the meantime? We’ll show you your options, discuss trade-ins and financing, and show you how the 2016 Jaguar F-Type (or, if you’re patient, 2017 Jaguar F-Pace) of your dreams is closer than you think.
